I have a 13 pound cat and this pack is a great size. He fits comfortably. I got the blue and absolutely love the color. I also love the design....there is a pocket for a roll of waste bags, a water bottle and a zippered pocket for other small items. It ventilation mesh and solid fabric options to cover viewing spaces and a hard base for the cat to sit on. HOWEVER, it is incredibly uncomfortable and more truthfully, painful, on your back. I went for a short walk and my back was screaming for the rest of the day and the next day. The hard base digs into your back with no relief no matter how you adjust the straps. There is a pocket above the base and I tried stuffing it with air bubble wrap and bags to see if it would keep it off my back and it does sort of, but not enough to make me think I could take this pack on a hike. Since the point was to hike with it, I will return it and keep searching. So sad because I love everything about this pack...it's just not comfortable on your back. If your goal is to carry your cat from the car to the vet's office...you'll probably be fine and this pack is spacious for your cat. If they redesigned it to keep it off your back at the bottom, it would be perfect!
