I wanted to love this pack I have been shopping for a mountaineering pack for a long time and have tried several. I wanted around 55 L for multi day trips. I took this on a 5 day trip. Inside the first mile I knew I was in trouble. The pack was aggressively swaying side to side with every step. I packed it differently and adjusted the straps. Bottom line the straps have a lot of loose fabric where they are sewn to the body of the pack. I tightened down the load straps and pack pack straps hard and the loose fabric still allowed a lot of sway. To manage the trip I ended up pulling the load straps so far down it buckled the foam on the backpack straps and created a little more stability. But then I had bid lumps behind my shoulder blades. Crampon pocket was nice, material seemed hearty to handle brushing over rocks climbing chimneys, but it it does not load and ride well it’s miserable to carry an uncomfortable pack.
